Retrofit brake testing technology - under active R&D development.

Braketrax is a research and development project aimed at developing and validating adaptive measurement technology for legacy roller brake tester environments. The platform is currently in active development and field validation phase.

Braketrax Retrofit

  • Upgrade legacy brake testing systems without replacing mechanical components

  • Improve diagnostics, accuracy, and system reliability

Braketrax Fleet

  • Control systems for new brake testing installations in fleets and workshops

  • Modular, scalable solutions for modern vehicle inspection environments

Outdated systems. Unnecessary costs.

Many brake testing systems still rely on legacy electronics and limited software.
Replacing the entire system is expensive, disruptive, and often unnecessary.

Workshops and fleets are forced to choose between outdated performance and high investment.

A smarter way to modernize

Braketrax upgrades only what matters - the control and software layer - while keeping your existing mechanical system.
  • Lower investment compared to full replacement

  • Faster installation and minimal downtime

  • Modern, reliable electronics

  • Clear and simple user interface

Braketrax Retrofit

Upgrade your existing brake tester without replacing it.
  • Compatible with legacy systems

  • Replaces outdated control electronics

  • Built to work with existing load cells, mechanical systems, and inductive proximity sensors

  • Fast integration into current workflow

Braketrax Fleet

A scalable brake testing solution for workshops and vehicle fleets.
  • Designed for daily operational use

  • Data tracking and reporting

  • Reliable and repeatable measurements

  • Suitable for new installations

Built for real-world operation

  • Real-time braking force measurement

  • Digital calibration and configuration

  • Data logging and export

  • Simple operator interface

  • Robust embedded control system

  • Hardware and software integration

Not just another brake tester

Traditional systems are tied to fixed hardware. Braketrax moves system intelligence into software, enabling modern control, flexibility, and easier upgrades.
  • Software-defined system architecture

  • Retrofit-ready integration for existing installations

  • Hardware-agnostic design across multiple vendors

Engineering Background

Braketrax is developed by Srdjan Furman, electrical and computer engineer based in Vienna, Austria. The project builds on over 18 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining embedded brake force measurement systems in officially certified vehicle inspection environments across the Western Balkans region.

R&D Status

Project status: R&D phase - field validation in progress. Braketrax is an experimental development project. Core hardware platform (DAS-882) is functional and laboratory-validated. Field validation across heterogeneous legacy installations is the current research objective.
